Women Owning Woodlands – Chainsaw Safety and Maintenance Workshop
Registration is open!
Power tools are a critical part of managing a forest!
. . . but not everyone knows how to properly use and maintain them. It can also be difficult to stay up to date on all the new models and innovative products on the market. This workshop will teach you how to master the use of your favorite tool(s) and make sure they stay in good shape for the future. We welcome you to bring in 1 or 2 of your own outdoor power tools to receive a hands-on demonstration on how to properly use and maintain them. Common tools include chainsaws, brush cutters, and trimmers. All brands are welcome but this will be held in a Stihl facility so bringing Stihl products will make it easier if something needs to be fixed!
This workshop is specifically for women who are interested in learning about power tool maintenance in the company of other women. For other opportunities to learn about this topic, check out the chainsaw safety and maintenance sessions available at the Family Forest Field day on August 24, along with a number of other educational sessions.
