Science Café: The Under-Appreciated Potential for Large, Severe Wildfires in WA
In January, join us for a presentation from Daniel Donato of the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and an affiliate assistant professor at the University of Washington, School of Environmental and Forest Science, to explore the historic evidence for extremely large wildfires in western Washington, and the potential for such events in todays west-side landscape. Curious about science? Come join us! Bring your own dinner or snacks for an interesting evening. A local scientist will present and answer questions about a different science topic each month. Light refreshments provided by the Friends of the McCleary Timberland Library.
