Management Plan Update Workshop

Are you a Tree Farmer who has identified a need to update your forest management plan? Have you conducted a number of forest management activities since your last plan? Has it been more than ten years since you have updated your plan? If so, then the Washington Tree Farmer Program invites you to a workshop where you will have a hands-on opportunity to address key or difficult elements of your plan. Please note we ask that you bring a copy of your plan and prepare with a brief set of pre-workshop questions. You are also encouraged to bring a laptop if you have one.

Presentation topics include:

 

  • Plan Objectives with exercises on topics ranging from reforestation to old forest habitat
  • Current Conditions with methods and techniques on forest health to stand boundary delineation and the resources available
  • Threatened and Endangered Species and Biodiversity with an overview of concepts and resources with exercises in exploring what habitat and species are identified in and around your property
  • Cultural Resources with a focus on the Forest Practice implications and resources available

Date: February 22nd, 2020

Location: Veterans Museum, Chehalis, WA

Cost: $25 per family ($10 per additional member after the first two family registrants) – If registered by February1st, 2020

*Preregistration is required. Fees include coffee and up to 2 box lunches.
